Dubia Roach Care

Thanks for your purchase! Your Dubia roaches have been carefully packed and shipped via Aus Post in a breathable cardboard box to keep them safe during transit. Once they arrive, it’s important to get them settled quickly to minimise stress and maximise survival.

As soon as you receive your Dubia, open the box in a warm, dry area and transfer them into a suitable container (such as a plastic tub or glass tank with ventilation). Add egg cartons or similar structures to give them plenty of surface area to climb and hide—this reduces stress and improves overall health.

Dubia thrive in warm conditions, ideally between 28–32°C. Keeping them below this range will slow their metabolism and growth, while temperatures that are too cold can lead to die-offs. Use a heat mat if needed, but avoid direct overheating.

Provide a steady food source such as fresh fruit, vegetables, and dry grains, along with a water source like water crystals (avoid open water to prevent drowning). Remove any old or mouldy food regularly to keep the colony clean.

With the right setup, warmth, ventilation, food, and hydration—your Dubia will stay healthy and active for longer, whether you’re keeping them as feeders or growing your own colony.
